Patrick Aufiero

Mr. Aufiero’s primary responsibility is for the day-to-day management of ACI’s legal department and for providing advice and counsel on a wide-range of transportation related legal matters, including contracts, labor and employment, real estate, litigation, risk management and corporate governance.

Mr. Aufiero is also responsible for the management of ACI’s contracts for rail and bus services, including the Eagle P3 Commuter Rail Line in Denver, Colorado; the Tren Urbano Rail Contract in San Juan, Puerto Rico; the Valley Metro Rail Contract in Phoenix, Arizona; and numerous bus services contracts awarded to Paul Revere Transportation, LLC, which ACI is the managing partner.

Most recently, Mr. Aufiero represented ACI, which is a partner in the Purple Line Transit Operators, a member of the Consortium, the Purple Line Transit Partners, in connection with its bid and selection to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the Purple Line Light Rail Transit Project in Maryland, a $2 billion Public Private Partnership project, which earned a gold honor for Best Transit and Aviation project at the 2016 P3 Awards. Mr. Aufiero negotiated with consortium parties, lenders, and owners, to achieve commercial and financial close on the Purple Line Light Rail Transit Project.

Mr. Aufiero also designed the overall policy and strategy and oversees the wind-down of the financial operations and legal matters of the Massachusetts Bay Commuter Railroad Company, the entity that was contracted from 2003 – 2014 to operate and maintain the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority’s Commuter Rail System.
